Three Cups of Tea Give Away Extended

threecupsofteaI’ve decided to extend my Give Away of Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson & David Oliver Relin!  Instead of closing the contest on June 30th, I will extend it to July 12th, and announce the winner on July 13th.  Remember, this is an INTERNATIONAL Give Away, so don’t be shy just because you’re across the pond!

You can enter by doing the following:

1. Post this give away on your own blog (comment on this post or e-mail me the link) (earn 3 entires)
2. Follow @bibliofreakblog on Twitter (those already following will automatically earn an entry) (earn 1 entry, plus another entry every time you tweet about it–just let me know that you did so in a DM or replying to this post)
3. Reply on this post to the question: Do books really have the power to change the world? (each response earns 1 entry, but you can earn multiple entries by responding–substantially–to others’ replies).

Replies can be entered on this post OR the original post!

Good Luck!

I definitely think that books can change the world, since books are knowledge, and knowledge has the power to change.

I would love to finally get to read this book. It is proof that books can change the world as the author has done so much for so many according to what I read.

This looks great! Please enter me!

I’d like to say that books do have the power to change the world, but first you have to get people, and the RIGHT people to actually read them!

Please count me in on this giveaway! I just discovered you thru Twitter and plan on following you as soon as I am done leaving this comment!

Do I believe that books can change the world? Heck ya!! Books can share stories of lives different from your own, expand your horizons, teach you a lesson, or simply (in the words of the author John Connolly) teach one the ability to empathize with another! There is so much that books can do . . . they are truly limitless! Okay, off my soapbox now!! Can’t wait to to hear the winner!! I’ve been wanting to read this book!

Books DO have the power to change the world as long as the right people read them. Then have the right frame of mind to follow what they’ve read. Sadly, some books also can have the power to change the world in a negative way, such as through violence or greed.
