Try dancing or walking even 30 minutes a day; it would help. Anything that would let you sweat and feel the muscle contractions are the best exercises to lose weight quickly. While dancing hip hop, you abs are starting to form and curve - so many things that you could do without straining your self but seeing remarkable results through exercises.

The diet itself doesn't seem that bad, minus the whole alcohol thing. I think all the keeping track would be grueling though.

I think diets are torture and no alcohol is cruel and unusual.

When I wanted to lose some weight I manically weighed myself everyday noting which specific foods caused weight gain.
I discovered that carbs were a problem but bread was deadly. I avoided all problem foods and then tailored the diet to meet my personal needs.
At party time I'd avoid carbs all day then eat steak, salad and drink several pints of beer. And in the morning I'd still have lost weight.

In this rather idiosyncratic fashion I lost nearly 15kg (+20lbs) in 3 months. And it's stayed lost.

I could see the problems with pulling this off when you are young and have a social life. : )

I'm doing Game On with a group of peers and finding it challenging as well. The alcohol points are my weakness, as I was forced to give up my one red wine per day (which I had previously understood to be perfectly healthy) and switch to nothing but water. I also had to cut back on my coffees just to get the water points in. No fair.
I will tough it out for the rest of the challenge because after giving up the wine I guess I really don't have much to lose (except weight, I hope), and it is teaching me good habits, such as finding 20 minutes a day to get my butt off the computer and move.

Those alcohol points are a huge bummer - I lost 50 last week because I hadn't made my weight goal and had not only a margarita but also a glass of wine. sigh. I thought the penalty was 20 points, was I surprised when I filled out my weekly totals - oops!

I did gain good healthy habits (water intake, decluttering routine) and have kicked-started my exercise (I'm a wimp and had been saying it was too cold to run!). I lost only 4.4 in our 3 weeks, but I'm very pleased with that.

Find a routine that works with you ... I've done WW before and really liked it as well.
