Time for Awards!

superior_scribbler_awardI’ve received some cool awards lately from a couple of bloggers, and it’s about damn time I passed them on.

The first award comes from Michelle at The True Book Addict and also Cara from Oooh Books.

Here are the guidelines that go with it:

  • Each Superior Scribbler must in turn pass The Award on to 5 most-deserving Bloggy Friends.
  • Each Superior Scribbler must link to the author & the name of the blog from whom he/she has received The Award.
  • Each Superior Scribbler must display The Award on his/her blog, and link to This Post, which explains The Award.
  • Each Blogger who wins The Superior Scribbler Award must visit this post and add his/her name to the Mr. Linky List. That way, we’ll be able to keep up-to-date on everyone who receives This Prestigious Honor!
  • Each Superior Scribbler must post these rules on his/her blog.
  • My five choices to pass this on to are:

    1. Bea from How Novel
    2.  Mellissa W. from Jayne’s Book Blog
    3.  Velvet from vb32 reads
     4. Katy from A Few More Pages
     5. Trish from Hey Lady, Watcha Readin’

I’ve awarded this to the first four because they have officially joined my November Novella Challenge by signing up w/ Mr. Linky.  I’m also giving it to Trish because after I already decided on hosting this challenge, and bought some prizes for it, I was researching novellas online and discovered that a couple of years ago, Trish hosted a Novella Challenge…so I guess I’m not all that creative afterall.  But more importantly, Trish, should I have asked you if you minded my hosting a Novella Challenge?  What if you had wanted to bring it back, and then there would be two novella challenges?  Well, I guess I don’t have my blog etiquette down pat.  Basically though, these five bloggers heart novellas, so they get the award.

2094170The next three awards, Velvet gave me:

First, the Zombie Chicken Award, which I have given to five awesome bloggers here.

who-loves-1 The next one is the Who Loves You Baby! Award.  For this one, the awardee is to pass it on to bloggers who have give him/her awards in the past.

And so I’m passing it on to Velvet, duh, (which, BTW, does that mean that this award just boomerangs back to everyone?) as well as:

    Cara from Oooh Books
Michelle from the True Book Addict
    J. Kaye from J.Kaye’s Blog
    Terri from Brown Girl Speaks
    Elena from With Extra Pulp
    Tif from Tif Talks Books
Avisannschild from She Reads and Reads

    blog_humane_award

Then I got the Humane Award!

This award is to honor certain bloggers that are kindhearted individuals. They regularly take part in my blog and always leave the sweetest comments. If it wasn’t for them, my site would just be an ordinary book review blog. Their blogs are also amazing and are tastefully done on a daily basis. I thank them and look forward to our growing friendship through the blog world.

Nominate 10 bloggers you feel deserve the Humane Award.

For this particular award, I’m going to pass it on to the bloggers who host challenges that I participated(d) in this year.  I’m only a few days into hosting my own challenge, and I already realize what hard work it is (promoting it, prizes, Mr. Linky, trying to figure out how to make a button, etc., etc., etc.).  So here are the bloggers (and links to my acceptance posts)

    1. Elena from All Booked Up (who hosts the Pre-Printing Press Challenge)
    2.  Molly from My Cozy Book Nook (who hosted the Summer Vacation Reading Challenge)
    3. Trish from Trish’s Book Nook (who hosted the Nonfiction Reading Challenge)
    4.  Jenners from Find Your Next Book Here (who hosts the Take a Chance Challenge)
    5. Stephanie from Stephanie’s Written Word (who hosts the Everything Austen Challenge)
    6. Laurel Ann from Austenprose (who is hosting the Everything Austen X 2 Challenge)
    7.  Bellezza from Dolce Bellezza (who is hosting the Japanese Reading Challenge)
    8. J.C. from the BiblioBrat Blogazine  (who hosted the Banned Book Challenge…which I know I’m late to finish, but am on my last book!)
    9. Andrea at the Little Bookworm (who is hosting the Much Ado About Shakespeare Challenge)
    10.  Carl from Stainless Steal Droppings (who is hosting the RIP Challenge)
    11. Ana & Serena at War Through the Generations…as well as their own damn good blogs…(who host the WWII War Through the Generations Challenge)
    12. Amy from My Friend Amy (who hosts the Taking on Newsweek Challenge)
    13. Kari et al., from the Five Boroughs Book Review (who host the Back to School Challenge)

I know that’s more than ten, but what can I say?  I like challenges.

There is one more award, but I’m freakin’ exhausted now, so we’ll get to that one next week.  :)

Thanks so much, J.T.! You totally made my day!

I think it’s awesome you’re doing a novella challenge! There are so kick-ass books out there that are so little, you wouldn’t give them a second glance.

Thank you so much for the kind words and great prize.

I love challenges as well – although I didn’t fair too well with them this year.

Congratulations on all your well deserved awards, and thanks for passing one on to me. Like you, I feel the effort that hosting a challenge requires; yet, it is so wonderful to share a common goal/genre with fellow participants. Thank you for being a part of my blogging world!

Hey thanks … and I’m loving challenges too. I am going to attempt your Novella challenge but I need to do the research to find out what I can get cheaply and easily and I’ll need to plan it out so that it doesn’t mess up my other reading challenges! HAHA! I think way too much!

I’m sort of late to thank you, but thanks! I don’t know enough book bloggers to give the award, though, so it’ll have to wait till I’m better settled in this side of the web ;)
