Mini Challenges
From Hour 1 (during which I was sleeping)
Where are you reading from today? My living room.
3 facts about me … I’m 5′1 3/4″ but I lie on my driver’s license and say I’m 5′2″. Oldfield is my maiden name. My house was built in 1926.
How many books do you have in your TBR pile for the next 24 hours? See above
Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, or number of comments on blogs)? Nope. Just keep going until 5 AM tomorrow.
If you’re a veteran read-a-thoner, Any advice for people doing this for the first time? Short or highly-engaging books.
Mini-Challenge #2 (from hour 2, during which I was also sleeping)
“What have you surrounded yourself with this morning” Two words: my cat. He’s running around like a crazy person, and trying to topple over my pile of books.
Mini-Challenge #3 (from hour 3, during which I finally got out of bed)
Favorite Female Character in a book: Buffy (I know it’s based on tv, but still!)
Favorite Male Character in a book: Probably not of all time, but right now I’m a little bit in love with The Sandman
Favorite Side Kick in a book: Biff from Lamb
Favorite Couple in a Book: Hmm…maybe the Time Traveler’s Wife?
Favorite Book Series: Wheel of Time
Favorite Author: Zadie Smith
Favorite Book Cover: Hush Hush (though I’ve not read it)
Favorite Book of 2009 Book that came out in 2009 or book I read in 2009? Because probably The Time Traveler’s Wife was my fav read of last year.

The Time Traveler’s Wife has been on my shelf forever and I still haven’t gotten to it. Good luck today!
That’s quite the list of books! Enjoy!
That”s quite a pile of books! Happy reading!
Is it my imagination or do cats gets thrown off by the read-a-thon? Reading about other read-a-thoners cat antics this morning has made me smile:) Happy reading!
I hope you are having a great time! Keep up the great work!!
