BBAW Meme

bbaw-button2009So, I’m not a big meme person.  But sometimes you just gotta give in and talk about yourself.  I mean, IT’S FOR THE GOOD OF BOOK BLOGGER APRECIATION WEEK.  How could I say no.  It would be terrible of me.  ::shakes head sadly::

BBAW has set up two sets of three questions.  The first set is if you are cooler than me and were around to participate last year.  The second set is if you are like me and don’t want to be left out of the fun just because you’re a n00b.

Question 1: What has been one of the highlights of blogging for you?

Well…I know that I’m beating a dead horse here, or whatever, but it’s got to be the community.  Every night seems like a big party on Twitter.  I still get really excited every time I see a new comment on my blog, or find out that someone linked to me.  I have found so many kindred spirits in blogosphere.  Yeah, that’s right, I said it, KINDRED SPIRITS.

Question 2: What blogger has helped you out with your blog with answering questions, linking to you, or inspiring you?

The first few people to comment on my blog included Nymeth from Things Mean a Lot, Jackie from Farmlane Books, Rose City Reader, and Elena from With Extra Pulp.

I’ve gotten three awards so far (I blogged about the first two already, but just got the third yesterday!).  Tif and Avisannschild gave me the Kreativ award, and J. Kaye gave me the Hearts & Flowers Award.  These mean so much to me.  On days I don’t have a lot of traffic or comments, I just go back and reread my post about the award (no, I don’t really go back and reread my posts…well, O.K., so maybe I did once…twice…)

Question 3: What is one question that only someone who participated last year could answer?

I know that there is so much activity during BBAW it’s pretty much impossible to keep up with and participate in everything.  What is the one thing that should not be missed?

lol. The blogging community has us all channelling Anne Shirley, but what can we do.. we are all kindred spirits.

I don’t know what the one thing that shouldn’t be missed is because Amy probably has a ton of new stuff in store for us, but I bet we’ll recognize it when it comes along :P I hope you have a ton of fun with BBAW!

Ohh wow I didn’t realise I was one of your first commenters! And I must agree with the Twitter parties, I’m finding all these awesome new blogs through it. I am also a n00b at BBAW haha but it all seems so exciting.

I’ve also reread nice posts…maybe once or twice :P

Ha! I try to keep my “kindred spirit” references sparse as well, but it’s hard!

Awards can make one smile, so what hurts to look at them every so often if they make you smile?!? :) I’m excited for my first BBAW too this year! Gotta get this meme done tonight!!
