More of Me at The Stranger
I’m going to Las Vegas for a few days, so if I blog it all, it’ll be hungover by the pool.
In the meantime, I wanted to post an update of what I’ve been doing at The Stranger lately.
You guessed it! Meeting authors and crashing parties!
In this week’s issue (the cover for which is right there, and I think is just lovely), on, I think page 63, I wrote about a Frida Kahlo-themed party:
Have you ever wanted to see Frida Kahlo shake her booty? When everyone starts freaking with each other (and these folks tear it up to anything from Girl Talk to the Jackson 5), they morph into a hairy, many-limbed, sexual beast. But for a time, the dance floor must be cleared for—what else?—a game of Pin the Unibrow on Frida.
You can read the rest of the article here (along with the recipe for Panty Dropper).
I also recently met Seattle experimental writer extraordinaire, Doug Nufer. I said about him on Slog:
Nufer finally got up to read, it was like an explosion of words went off and parts of my frontal lobe woke the fuck up. Anyone who is interested in the spoken word should see this man in action. He embodies not just the characters, but the tone of whichever work he is reading.
Read everything else I said here.
And please do go read and then leave me some comments, because that makes me happy!

LoL! Have a great time in Las Vegas!
Yes! Drinking & Las Vegas. And books. The perfect time.
Have fun in Vegas … and I hope not to see you blogging! There is too much to do there!
Have a great time, J.T.!
Have fun in Vegas!
You are a female?!!! You don’t say!!
All the better! At least it confirms my suspicion that a guy is rarely that generous to give away so many books! ha ha
Ummmmmm I want to work at The Stranger. *cries*
