Book Bloggers Represent!

bbaw-button2009I’ve been in your blogs, messin’ up your stats. Last wednesday, the first day open for nominations for this year’s Book Blogger Appreciation Week, I was on your blog, and then poof! I was off again. I came from Google Reader, from Google Search, from links throughout the interwebs. I affected your bounce rates, I’m sure. But it was not in vain! It was for a good cause! I was getting my nomination on for the Second Annual Blogger Appreciation week! I was copying links to your home pages, memes, and best posts.

I’m seriously psyched for BBAW this year. I wasn’t around last year, so even though it’s the second annual event, it’s new for me!  September 14 can’t come fast enough!

So, what all is there?  Oh…soooo…much…

  • Prizes (though they’re being secretive about that for now)
  • Awards!  Everything from best YA blog, to most Chatty Blog, to most altruistic blog.  Even though there are so many categories, I found it hard to narrow down some choices.  I tried to nominate a blog in every category, even though some were a little beyond me.  I don’t read, for example, a lot of mystery/thriller blogs, because that’s not my thing, so I had to leave that one blank.  I also had to leave blank best new blog, (though for a split second I considered nominating myself, but decided that one should not nominate oneself) as I don’t know who is new and who is not!
  • Community Building!  Over 400 blogs came together last year, and I know there will be more this year.
  • Guest posts (who doesn’t love a good guest post to introduce you to someone new?)
  • Themes & Memes every day!

So get your act together and get your blog all registered and whatnot.  Then sit down with your thinking cap and beverage of choice (water if you’re doing the Game On! Diet, I’m sure), and nominate the crap out all the blogs you subscribe to.  Then skip on over to Twitter and give a shout out to @MyFriendAmy to thank her for all of her hard work!

And feel free to mess up my stats.  I won’t hold it against you!  ;)

Thanks for the reminder! I registered yesterday, but I haven’t posted about it yet. I’m gunning for Best Literary Fiction Reviews this year, so would greatly appreciate a vote.

How about you? Same? Or general? Or what? I’m happy to reciprocate!

I have a secret hope for best new blog, but I’m not sure I have enough readership to win any of them. I’m really happy just to be part of it this year!

    Though that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t appreciate a vote!

I’d love to win an award but it’s doubtful. I haven’t done my nominations yet, it’s hard to choose.
