Win My (Gently-Listened-to?) Audiobook!

the-bookseller-of-kabul-b_3086870vbI’m giving away my copy of The Bookseller of Kabul by Åsne Seierstad.  And guess what?  It’s an audiobook.  And guess what else?  The give away is international.

The only thing about it is that it is abridged.  I don’t know how much or what was taken out.  I didn’t realize that it was abridged when I picked it up, but I didn’t feel like I missed out on anything.  It’s not like it’s an abridged novel.  The nice thing about it being abridged is that it’s only about seven hours long.  Actually, I can’t remember how long it is, and I don’t feel like going to find the case to check, but there six CDs so I think it’s about seven hours.

To enter, tell me this: What do you like (or think you would like) best about listening to books on CD?

For me, it’s all about multi-tasking.

There are several ways you can accrue additional entries:

Follow my blog with your blog-following thingamajig (+1)
Follow me on Twitter (@bibliofreakblog) (+1)
Tweet about this give away  (+1)
Blog about this give away (+3)
Post it on Reddit, Technorati Fave it, Stumble it, and/or Digg it (+1 each)

This  contest will close @ 11:59 PM PST Tuesday October 6, 2009, so act fast!  The winner will be announced the next day.

And don’t forget about my other give away that ends the 5th!

No need to enter me, my friend. I’m not good with audio.

I’m dropping in to say thanks for the e-mail. I’ve got this posted at Win a Book for you.

I love the ability to chill while on the bus. I love reading, but it gives me a headache if I read on the bus. Problem solved!

The thing I would enjoy most about listening to a book on disc is that I will able to knit! My two favourite passions done at once.
