Jane Austen Action Figure Winner!
Before I announce the actual winner, I want to give mad props to the people who wrote my favorite six word stories/haikus (and thus received an extra entry!)
Heather from Gofita’s Pages wrote this six word story for Mansfield Park:
Fanny and Edward, cousins, together forever.
It’s funny because it’s creepy but true.
Shooting Stars Magazine wrote one about Pride and Prejudice:
Regardless, Fitzwilliam is a weird name.
I couldn’t agree more.
And Kirsten wrote a Pride & Prejudice haiku from the perspective of Mrs. Bennett:
My single girls
Not quit looking for husbands
Settled, thank heavens!
But the winner of the action figure is…
Claire wrote five six word stories, each about a different book (though I only gave her credit for one, as per the rules). Here they are:
Gothic pastiche with love thrown in.
Epistolary freindship and parody; misspelling Austen’s.
Universal truth: women seek rich husbands.
Matchmaking often results in broken hearts.
Pride and Prejudice for mature lovers.
Can you guess which goes with which book? Check out the comment section on her post if you’re stumped!
Claire, I’m e-mailing you for your mailing address!

LOLOL! I missed this one. Too cute.
I just love the action figure … and the 6 words were priceless!
Congrats to the winner. I have this figure and it is too cool!
