Give Away: Sounds Like Crazy
Guess what? Thanks to Shana Mahaffey and TLC Book Tours, I’m giving away a signed copy of Sounds Like Crazy!
In her guest post, Shana revealed that her grandfather coached John Madden, which now makes me less than six degrees from John Madden, which makes my husband also less than six degrees away (him—>me—->Shana—->Shana’s Grandfather—->John Madden). Wait til I tell him!
This is funny because when I was at my friends’ wedding in Vegas last weekend, I met the bride’s grandfather who played the Commandant in all of the Police Academy movies and also the Grandfather on Punky Brewster.
I am also less than six degrees away from the Kennedys and Space Ghost (yes, I *do* realize Space Ghost is a cartoon, but let me ask you, does that really matter?)
SO, in order to enter, tell me, is there anyone you are six degrees or less away from? If not, have you ever met anyone famous?

This give away is, unfortunately, only open to people who have an address in the U.S. or Canada, since it comes from Shana and writers are traditionally poor. Shana says that she can send the book ANYWHERE. Yay!

Oh gosh, I’ve met John Travolta. . .do authors count? I’ve met Tim O’Brien, James Patterson (who has been on Castle — does that make him famous), Amy Tan, Anita Shreve…hmm, this list could go on.
There is a rumor in my husband’s family that they may be tenuously related to Courtney Cox!

Well, on my father’s side, we are related to John Wilkes Booth, rumoured to be the inspiration for King Duncan in MacBeth, and supposedly descendants from Thor.
Not met anyone famous from this part of the world but thank the author for making it international!!!! much appreciated.
I have not as yet met anybody famous, but I guess there is still hope!

I can’t say that I’ve ever met someone famous- to be honest, not even close! BUT that doesn’t mean that I don’t want to. I would love to travel to Toronto to meet authors that I admire- unfortunately that doesn’t happen a lot with three young kids running around, BUT I can hope that one day when they’re older I can travel the book-signing circuts!
I’ve never met anyone famous
The only famous people I’ve met are authors through book signings. A few I’ve met are: Anne McCaffrey, Mercedes Lackey, Rachel Vincent, Jeri Smith-Ready, Rachel Caine & Melissa Marr. Conventions are great for that. :0)

Many years ago we were flying somewhere on vacation and a well-known local newscaster play peek-a-boo with our baby daughter.
And although I’m the Brit in the family my husband is distantly related to someone who used to be a member of the British parliament.
Not so impressive, huh?
