The Forty Rules of Love Give Away!

TheFortyRules_300_450I just so happen to have an extra copy of The Forty Rules of Love by Elif Shafak.

So, I’m going to send it to one of you!  Yay!

But wait, there’s more!

I know that a lot of my give aways lately have been U.S./Canada only because they’ve been coming straight from the publishers, but this is coming from me so it’s an international give away!

But wait, there’s more!

On Monday I’m going to go see Elif Shafak read, and I’ll get it autographed (unless some unforeseen circumstance prevents my attending, in which, case, no autograph, though, I don’t see that happening.  Of course, that’s why it would be an unforeseen circumstance.  That’s pretty much what that means).

UPDATE: Yup.  It’s signed.

To enter, leave me a comment, telling me what the last book you read about Islam or by a Muslim author.  The last one I read was probably last August, Midnight’s Children by Salman Rushdie.

For extra entries:

Tweet this & leave me the URL (+1)
Blog this & leave the URL (+3)
Subscribe to my newsletter & make sure that the e-mail address you provide is the one you signed up with (+1)
Leave a comment on my book review on The Stranger’s website, and tell me the name you commented under (+1)

This give away will go until…how about just one week?  Until next Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 11:59 PM PST?  I’ll announce the winner the next day.

Good luck everyone!

The last book I read was probably The Reluctant Fundamentalist by Mohsin Hamid. I found the book quite thought provoking, especially because it told about the tension between the Muslims and Christians after 9/11.

I’d love to be entered for this giveaway. I’ve got The Bastard of Istanbul by Elif Shafak waiting for me on my shelves, and I would love to try this book as well.

    Thanks.

As much as I hate to admit it, I do not think I’ve read any novels by a Muslim author. I own a lot of books by Muslim authors, but because of the MASSIVE TBR pile, I have not got around to reading them yet! I hope you won’t count this against me and still enter me. :)

I left a comment over at The Stranger under The True Book Addict. +1

    Thanks for the giveaway!

I just finished reading “Infidel” by Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a former Muslim and Dutch politician. It’s really an excellent memoir.

I’ve read lots of books by Muslim authors or about Muslim characters but I think the most recent one I’ve read was actually The Bastard of Istanbul by Elif Shafak (which I LOVED!)
