Featured Video of the Week

One of the really great things about this give away, is that not only are other readers and bloggers finding out about me, but I’m discovering new blogs and Tweeps.  At some point, I’m going to have to go back through my last couple hundred twitter followers and start to follow people back.

One such discovery for me has been Professor BJ.  Upon finding his blog, in which he describes teaching college English courses using popculture references, I sent a link to my Fulbright-having friend Ian, whom some of my long time readers (from like, three months ago) may remember from the Zombie FaceBook Discussions.

So, while not technically or artistically impressive, the Good Prof wowed me with his big backpack o’ books.  I went to a high school of 5,000 people (it was 2 schools on the same campus and we had classes in both buildings–now, in fact, there are three schools there).  I, like the majority of students,  only used my locker one year.  My backpack was routinely equal to a quarter of my weight.  So, thinking about someone who has devoted his life to teaching English and probably has a car and stuff and still has a way to heavy bag of books speaks to me.

Also, there were no more anthropomorphized animals, which was starting to disturb me.

Also, there were no other entries this week.

Also, my husband appreciated that he used the word “hoss”, as he grew up in Oklahoma and Tennessee.

Professor BJ, thanks for the heads-up on King’s book! Holy cow! Love the video.

I relate to the big bag haha. I use a backpack and usually end up having to carry stuff with me. There is just not enough room, especially when you can’t go home during the day.
