Buffy: No Future for You by Joss Whedon and Brian K. Vaughan

BuffyNoFutureforYouEnter Faith.  Picking up work here and there, cleaning up messes the slayerettes aren’t prepared to handle, Faith is currently hanging out in Cleveland (a nice reference, as we all know there is a Hellmouth there).  Giles comes to her to ask a favor, and in return, he’ll give her a new name and passport, a ticket to anywhere in the world, and an early retirement.

All Faith has to do is infiltrate and kill an irredeemable slayer who has gone rogue.

And learn how to be a proper British lady to do it.

Watching Faith transform herself into a ball gown and faux British accent is hilarious, and a tad uncomfortable.  But you can’t really blame the girl for liking it.

Over on Buffy’s side of things, Dawn is still a huge mess.  In the end, it’s Xander who gets her to open up, proving once more that he is the heart of the group.

In the end, we know a little bit more about Twilight, the unfortunate name of the organization out for Buffy’s head.  But we can’t wait to know more.

I loved seeing Xander and Dawn spend some time together. Their relationship in the TV show was always really sweet, and I never felt they had enough scenes together.
