Nonfiction Challenge Wrap-Up!
OMG, I finished this challenge on time.
Of course, it only said it ran until September, so I DID take that to mean September 30th.
Also, of the five books, I only read 2 from my original list. I have a perfectly justifiable reasons though. One of the books on my list, Why I Became an Atheist by John Loftus, Amazon hasn’t been able to get ahold of for some reason. I haven’t cancelled my order yet, though, as I still need to read it for the Take a Chance Challenge.
I picked up an audio copy of the Bookseller of Kabul, so I figured I’d switch it out for one of the books I hadn’t read yet.
But then I started to look at my shelf of ARCs and figured that since I had a few nonfic books I probably ought to read and review them and then use them for this challenge because I couldn’t whiddle down my pile AND complete the challenge by the end of the month.
So here’s what I read:
1. The Third Jesus by Deepak Chopra (cross-over w/ another challenge)
2. Why I Became an Atheist: A Former Preacher Rejects Christianity by John Loftus (cross-over w/ another challenge) Strange but True America by John Hafnor
3. Deep Survival by Laurence Gonzales The Bookseller of Kabul by Åsne Seierstad
4. Into the Wild by John Krakauer
5. How Fiction Works by James Wood (I’m considering this one my “different from the others” one) Everything Sucks by Hannah Friedman
Many thanks to Trish @ Trish’s Books for hosting this challenge!
Be sure to check out

CONGRATS!!! You had me second guessing myself so I checked the original sign ups and it says Sept 30th. Silly girl you are.
I barely finished, too. I’m a lame host. If I weren’t so lame I’d visit everyone to tell them how awesome they are. And maybe even do a post on my blog saying thanks and congratulaions. But…
Hope you’ll join us next year!
Congrats! : )
Congratulations on finishing!!
