Bloggiesta: Game On!
I’m not feeling so great today, so sitting around working on my blog and drinking tea sounds like a pretty good deal. Good thing Bloggiesta has come around again and I’m consuming water like mad for the Game On Diet.
Which, oops, did I forget to mention I’m participating in this month’s book blogger game on diet? It seemed like everyone else posted about it, and I’ve been twittering about it, so I figured you all knew by now.
For the record, here’s the teams:
- Ding Dongs:
Ti of Book Chatter (@TiBookChatter)
Amy of My Friend Amy (@MyFriendAmy)
Jill of Rhapsody in Books (@RhapsodyBooks)
Molly of My Cozy Book Nook (@MyCozyBookNook)
Julie of Booking Mama (@BookingMama)
- Ho Hos:
- J.T. of BiblioFreakBlog (@BibliofreakBlog)
Jen of Devourer of Books (@DevourerOfBooks)
Pam of Bookalicio.us (@BookaliciousPam)
Sandy of You’ve GOTTA Read This (@YouveGottaRead)
Laurie (no blog or twitter, but she emails updates to us)
- Twinkies:
- Dawn of She Is Too Fond of Books (@TooFondOfBooks)
Natasha/Vasilly of Classic Vasilly (@Vasilly)
Candace/Beth F of Beth Fish Reads (@BethFishReads)
Jennifer of The Literate Housewife Review (@LitHousewife)
Jenners of Find Your Next Book Here (@MrsFligs)
Jenn of Jenn’s Bookshelves (@JennsBookshelf)
Note that the Twinkies are all veterans of the Game. I wonder if that will give them an edge…
I’ll be reviewing the book at the end of the game, as I feel to review it now would be silly, as we’re only on day 5.
Now then! On to the Bloggiesta! Olé!
Here are the things I want to work on:
- Book reviews of: The Harvard Psychedelic Club (which was supposed to go up yesterday for the TLC blog tour…oops…but will now go up Sunday night so it doesn’t get lost in the Bloggiesta posts), Odd & The Frost Giants, Pride & Prejudice, and The Hospital for Bad Poets
- Interviews with: My niece Mary Olivia regarding Odd & The Frost Giants, J.C. Hallman (which was an interview I did in, seriously, July).
- Newsletter! Must go out today! Also, line up people to guest post for it for the next few weeks (wanna guest post? tweet, dm, e-mail, or leave me a comment)
- Linkage: Make sure all my posts are cross-linked appropriately in “you might like” section, make sure all books listed otherwise link to Amazon
- GoodReads: Get reviews up there
- Challenges: Wrap-up posts for at least 4 different challenges, Sign up for (hopefully the last of) challenges I’m joining, get link pages up on the World Religion Challenge blog
- Mini-Challenges: Jackie’s Backing up Your Blog, others if I have time
- ARCs: Read some!
I am overly excited about this either because my body is out of wack from all this water I’m drinking and my brain is drowning, or because I couldn’t do the last Bloggiesta because I was out of town.
Either way, thanks to Natasha from Maw books for hosting!

I admire you for doing Bloggiesta! I tried to make a book index by genre, got through the A’s, then decided I was bored and tired of it! That’s why I didn’t sign up to be official.
You have some good goals; good luck!!! (even though you’re not a Ding Dong)
The game in diet sounds so cool! Have fun! Good luck with the Bloggiesta and hope you feel better!
Great list. Good luck!
Trust me … having done Game On does NOT give you any kind of advantage. It is just as hard as the last time (except for water … I did keep that habit.) It does have a way of ruling your life doesn’t it?
Good luck on the challenge (both Game On and Bloggiesta)!
Good luck with both Game On and Bloggiesta! Is Game on only for the month? I guess that can seem like a long time when you are trying to implement new habits.
Good work on bloggiesta! You’ve got quite a lot on the list. What does a guest poster on your newsletter have to do? I could do a post if you’d like
Those are great goals. Best of luck with your Game On challenge!
Great work on Bloggiesta! I love your website, its so clean!
