I only finally decided today, the first day of National Novel Writing Month, that I’m going to participate. I signed up and everything.
Ugh. I really wasn’t going to post about this. I felt that I said what I needed to say in the comments section of Rebecca’s Post regarding the BBAW shortlists and gotten some answers in reply, and then got more answers after reading a post on Book Smugglers and that was that.
You know, it’s where you drop some acid and read your favorite classics. No no no no. That’s something completely different from what I’m talking about. I’m talking about a Literary Road Trip.
I’ve been in your blogs, messin’ up your stats. Last wednesday, the first day open for nominations for this year’s Book Blogger Appreciation Week, I was on your blog, and then poof! I was off again. I came from Google Reader, from Google Search, from links throughout the interwebs. I affected your bounce rates, I’m sure. But it was not in vain! It was for a good cause! I was getting my nomination on for the Second Annual Blogger Appreciation week! I was copying links to your home pages, memes, and best posts.

Well, I already knew that English was freakin’ awesome. I’ve been saying it for years. Some people complain about the fucked-uppedness of its rules, but I’ve always countered that it’s just because of the inclusive nature of English. We don’t translate; we adopt.
